Armpower: What is Nemiroff World Cup tournament for you?

Marta Opalinska: This tournament is for me the possibility to check up with the best comptitors in the world. They are certainly more experienced, but I like challenges. It will be a test at for me on which armwrestling level I am.

Armpower: Is this your first start at this event? Is this distinction for you?

Marta Opalińska: Yes, it will be my first start at this event. I am glad that I can take part in it. It has already been a success. Certainly I will do my best.

Armpower: How do you perceive yourself  in a rivalry with the best competitors in the world?
Marta Opalińska: World’s top drawer competitors come to Nemiroff World Cup. I do not think weather I can get on the podium. I'll be fighting with each at 100%. Not place, but a possibility to fight and show a good level will be a success. I compete for the left hand only, and I hope not to end up competing after two duels. Time will tell.

Armpower: Do you follow any proper preparation training?
Marta Opalińska: Together with my trainer Marlene Wawrzyniak  we are preparing to the Nemiroff and the World Championships. We have a typically armwrestling trainings 3-4 times a week. We also add strength, developmental and extreme  training.

Armpower: Any special diet? Supplementation?

Marta Opalińska: Currently I am not on a special diet, but I always try to eat nutritiously and healthy.

Armpower: Who do you think will win the left and right hand rivalries of the open class, and why?

Marta Opalińska: It's hard to say. There are many excellent armwrestlers who can fight for top places. But I think that Russian Denis Cyplenkov will be unbeatable for the left hand, unless someone actually finds a way for him. In my opinion right hand will be taken out by the last year's winner - John Brzenk. Many other competitors want to take him away this title, but I even think that if anyone can  threaten him, Brzenk will ultimately win.

Armpower: Does anyone from the Polish team has any chances for a gold medal and why? And whether we have a chance of medals?
Marta Opalińska: We certainly have chances for medals. Perhaps even a gold one. It's hard to estimated chances. Everything depends on the form, preparation and start lists. I feel that there will be gold, or maybe even two, but I do not want to show you tomorrow.

Armpower: What can you tell Polish fans to encourage them to come and see the Polish and international competitors on 5th-6th November at Nemiroff World Cup?

Marta Opalińska: Nemiroff World Cup is the most prestigious tournament in the armwrestling world. This year the best of the best armwrestlers will come to Sopot, so there will be what to look at. As the previous tournaments showed, unforgettable emotions are waiting for you.
