Armpower: What is Nemiroff World Cup tournament for you?
Lucjan Fudała: Nemiroff World Cup is for me an event is at very high level, it attracts the best competitors from all around the world. For me, this is a very great honor and I am proud that I can take part and proudly represent our country among so many successful sportsmen.

Armpower: Is this your first start at this event?
Lucjan Fudała: My first start was in 2005. I started in the up tp 86kg class then, and I ranked 5th for right hand (then struggle of the left hand were not held yet). Then in 2008, I took part in the up to 95kg class for left hand and ranked first after beating the legendary John Brzenk. While for the right hand I was 4th.

Armpower: How do you perceive yourself  in the rivalry with the best competitors in the world?

Lucjan Fudała: I had quite a long break from Armwrestling, which was caused by a knee injury during the Polish Cup in Starogard Gdanski (during the fight with Dariusz Muszczak for the right hand- I have sprained my left knee... a paradox, isn’t it?) And then it could not do without the operation, which excluded me from training for 6 months.

In the up to 95kg class, there are many great competitors as John Brzenk, Lubomir Jagnesak, Ion Oncescu and Arsen Liliev ... There are some other names that I would also be able to mention. It is really hard to select the winner although I think everyone has their favorite. I will fight as I can and I will do my best, but it is very difficult to assess on what place I will end up the rivalry with such an outstanding stuff.

Armpower: Do you follow any proper preparation training?
Lucjan Fudała: Now when I am preparing for the World Cup I am training pretty hard 5 times a week - Including 2-3 times of armwrestling exercises and on the rest days developmental ones.
I mainly focus on  biceps and wrist, of course, I do not neglect the other muscle groups. I try have a spraring every 8-10 days then I feel  relaxed and ready to fight at the table.

Armpower: Any special diet? Supplementation?
Lucjan Fudała: Currently I am on high-protein diet, by which I can easily decrease my weight to 95kg.Currently I do not use any supplements.

Armpower: Who do you think will win the left and right hand rivalries of the open class, and why?

Lucjan Fudała: I think a big favorite of the left hand is Denis Cyplenkov. For 2 years, no one has even threatened him, and I think this year it would  be the same. The right hand ... here we can expect a surprise. Last years, John Brzenk was unprecedented, but this year he has so tough rivals in 95kg class that he may not preserve the strength for OPEN class, but as they say in the armwrestling circle  - table will show.

Armpower: Do we have any chances for medals?
Lucjan Fudała: I think there will be some medals. Personally, I bet on Dariusz Wisniewski. This will be his debut, but there is no one equal to him for left hand on the  Polish scene, the Bartosiewicz brother always surprise us, and I think it will be the same this year. Dariusz Muszczak last year's silver medalist is one of the top of the 95kg class. Grzegorz Nowak who has presented an incredible strength for 2 years and has already shown what he can do, also will compete for the highest place on the podium.

Armpower: What can you tell Polish fans to encourage them to come and see the Polish and international competitors on the 5th and 6th November at Nemiroff World Cup?

Lucjan Fudała: Watching so titled armwrestlers from all around the world during the struggles on the highest level live is a real pleasure and a guarantee of incredible emotions.
