Who did not show up?
Always, since the first Golden Tur, the organizers have been trying to invite the best of the best, Starts, Champions, first to confront them with the others and between each other, and secondly for the sport attractiveness, and thirdly, to create new and future Champions. So these great fulfill a role of examiners for those whose names may shine after the final fights. Autumn is a good time, but the trouble gathering all dreamt in one place and one time always happen. A few sentences about those to whom were calling for hours, whom we were endeavoring for, and who did not come.

The first of the Great absent was Devon Larratt, a Canadian. We have been inviting him for several years already, and even a rumor among the players from Europe had it that, he is afraid to come here. Emend it! Larratt has a great desire and he strongly emphasized during conversations- Igor, why do organize competitions in autumn? Do them in February, in March, then I will surely be able!?? Larratt has such an arrangement of professional duties, that in autumn he must be in his country, and nothing can be done about it. At least for now. For next year we will be trying, but nothing can be promised.

The second is Michael Todd, who makes amazing progress at the table, but has never been at our competitions yet. At this year's Arnold Classic in the USA has won one of the fights with the Denis Cyplenkov himself! It is true that Denis was exhausted after a tough fight with Richard Lupkes but the fact that it was said a lot about this battle “ a heavy one” proves something. We would like to check him, at Nemiroff World Cup and that's all. A week before the World Cup Todd was in Europe at the Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid (1st edition) and gave us some hope, but unfortunately nothing came of it. We are waiting, you’re welcome ...

Farid Usmanli (Uzmanov) is another absent, whose absence we cannot get over. Igor Mazurenko enjoyed that Farid in the end will come. He is now the representative of Turkey, earlier he fought for Uzbekistan.

 In our interview, he confirmed his presence at our tournaments, he said he has not been in Poland for a long time and he would like to come and check himself with the best professionals of the world. The unexpected trouble appeared due to the Turkish federation officials. In Turkey, a new President was elected this year and it was Kurt Niazi, experienced, well-known athlete. It augured well as previously at the forefront of armwrestlers in this country stood a person not related to our sport. But the void hope! Although 6 players were preparing to Nemiroff, although the organizers made all the necessary formal arrangements it turned out that a clerks’ trap stopped athletes in their houses under the guise of some formalities failure. Farid really regrets that he will not come, and rightly. We also feel that something missed us and fans. After all on 2nd September Murat Boyraz - Farid almost defeated Andrey Pushkar. Here at the Cup he wanted to repay.

After a long break Alexey Semerenko was packing to Poland. It would be tight and interesting. He wanted to solve the matter of the draw and a famous row in Manchester with Travis Bagent. He also wanted to show the Polish and world audience that he is stronger than in 2005 when in a beautiful fight with John Brzenk he fell unconscious under the table. He was waiting until the last minute for the transfer of money from the sponsor and not lived to see. We didn’t either. Let's hope that in 2012 we will manager to attract him to Poland again.

Igor also sent an invitation to Georgians and especially to the outstanding in 2009 season, known for his fight with Grzegorz Nowak, Genady Kvikvini. For unknown reasons, none of the Georgian team could arrive.

Our player Grzegorz Nowak with a spectacular performance in 2009 showed himself to the world. None of the Poles ranked so high on the podium in the hard super category. But ...he began preparations for the Cup in 2010 and literally 3 weeks before it he had to resign due to severe injury. He returned to training in the new year but due to private reasons he had to stop preparations. Unfortunately it prevented him from being in form essential for the World Cup and Grzegorz did not occur in Ozarow.
