A great initiative of Poles living in Ireland. Łukasz Suchaj and Łukasz Kusy have organized Championships of Ireland. The competition was held on the 30 March 2013. The organizer – the Irish Armwrestling Federation had the logistical support of the Armwrestling Federation of Poland.

The sponsors included: a chain of shops “MRÓZ” and producer of energy drinks BLACK.

The championships with two weight classes - under 85 kg and +85 kg gathered several dozens of competitors fighting in a round-robin tournament. As a result we got more than a hundred matches and hours of excitement.

Leading Irish armwrestlers took part in the competition. The guests of the event included also athletes from Scotland and South Ireland with Glen Ross, the world’s leading strongman, being the guest of honor. Glen also led the event. It was the highest level sport event in the spirit of fair play.

All ompetitors, who stood on the podium received beautiful trophies, diplomas and many awards sponsored by the official sponsors “MRÓZ” and “Black”.
The tournament turned out to be very popular not only with armwrestling fans, but also with those who have seen such matches for the first time in their lives.

Occupations were met with great interest both Armwrestling fans and those who armwrestling saw the release of sports for the first time in my life.
Irish Armwrestling Federation is planning to develop the sport, invite disabled athletes and organize the next event in June this year.
