The pros of armwrestling # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

We asked contestants, what are the pros of the sport in their opinion ()

Many contestants can use the knowledge and experience gained in armwrestling in everyday life. A weightlifter can lift heavy stuff, a boxer has advantage in a street fight, a sprinter will always catch the bus. What does an armwrestler have? How can armwrestling be of benefit to everyday life? I decided to ask a couple of armwrestlers that. Most answers were quite obvious: “sport is strength”, “armwrestling made my muscles grow, made me tough”, etc. Out of more than fifty responses on armpower.net, thirteen were worth mentioning.

So, how does armwrestling help in everyday life?

Artem Taynov:

Well, it does make carrying things around the house easier. Moving furniture too.

Vadim Akperov:

How does armwrestling help? Keeps me from being all over the place. Controls my day, my meals, forces me to watch my shape.

Dmitry Kirilenko:

Makes my pencil grip much firmer

Konstantin Smirnov:

First and foremost – armwrestling helps organize life. You won’t get far without a regime! You don’t go to the gym without a plan. I work at a gym, my body is my best advertisement. Everyone wants to have big arms. In everyday life, armwrestling is a safety valve. Tournament or sparring, it doesn’t matter to me, I still feel great anyway.

Timofey Gritskevich:

Like every sport, armwrestling build character. As an individual sport it teaches you to rely only on yourself in order to grow and expand.

In everyday life I don’t have much use for my strength. However - discipline, focusing on goals and an ability for rational assessment of my strengths – those I learned from armwrestling and they help me in my personal life and at work. Armwrestling teaches respect. “Sporting aggression” is a necessity in every sport, but in everyday life all guys in my category get on well with each other.

Arthur Chetverik:

Physically it is of no help. Day to day – regeneration and curing injuries. Psychologically – working out helps me rest in everyday life.

Artem Babenok:

Armwrestling lifts our spirit and builds character. Our triumphs help with everyday life: we never give up, we can always rely on ourselves, we push forward and win. We enjoy training, we’re happy when we win, we feel like everything is in our hands!

Alexei Berdnik:

You feel stronger than others.

Ewgenij Maslowskij:

I leave my negative emotions outside of the gym. Training is great, I’ve made many new friends this way.

Dmitrij Chalyj:

It gives you goals and perspectives for the future.

Filip Nikolajew:

Strong hands always come in handy! Especially at home. Strength attracts attention. We can settle almost any argument to our satisfaction

Dmitrij Bondarovich:

It’s a great way to spend free time. No other hobby can be compared to sport. It’s a nice addiction that completes my life. It offers me a way to spend time in a pleasant and profitable way.
