How is it to live with a superman?

Well, he’s not supposed to save the planet, but in time of need, I wouldn’t have to call Bruce Willis (laughs).

Do you cheer and support Evgenyi? Do you go to competitions with him?

Of course I support him, how could I not? I go to competitions whenever I can. Armwrestling is a spectacular sport, non-violent, where strength is proven only by means of technique, speed and endurance. It’s a beautiful sport and I like the atmosphere of rivalry. Even though the fighters battle each other, they always shake hands after they’re done. It’s healthy rivalry, with great spirit and friendly atmosphere. I always take away many positive emotions from a tournament.

Training and sports in general take a lot of time. Does armwrestling get between you two, or is it more of a link? Women often dislike their men spending too much time on their hobbies.

Of course Gene spends a lot of time on armwrestling, in theatre and doing other business – it’s his life. I’m very proud of his diversity and I respect him for always doing something to improve himself.

Armwrestling links us, because I too am interested in it. I also like the fact that Gene has an occupation, which allows him to fully realize his potential. I think sports rivalry and the drive to achieve your goals is very manly. I enjoy his achievements and seeing him inspired to reach new heights. Only a fool would be jealous of a hobby, because a hobby is something that makes a person more full, more complete, better to be around. We have a lot in common. The most important thing is theatre. We spend every day working on ourselves, because we are actors – we have rehearsals, we coach each other. We explore the art of theatre, we sing, dance, practice speech, etc. Sometimes 24 hours in a day is just not enough, there is so much to do…

Is Evgenyi more of a sportsman, or an actor?

He’s mostly a real man, a good and kind person. I think every profession leaves some kind of a trace, you just need to keep your good side to the front, no matter what you do in life. Evgenyi is a very promising actor, who is sure to wow us all in the future with his performances. As a sportsman… I’m not saying anything, you all know best.
