Oleg Zhoh. Adventures of a middleweight in the OPEN category >>>

Oleg Zhoh. Adventures of a middleweight in the OPEN category # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

Everyone expects sensations, interesting fights and great results from him. And he’s willing to provide. ()

In 2012, on A1 Russian Open, the Ukrainian fighter, Oleg Zhoh, came 8th in left arm in OPEN. A year later his name wasn’t even in the final 8 of the A1 OPEN. However, in 2014 he came back in good form, taking 4th in OPEN. This is a great score, especially seeing as every year Oleg is usually on top his category in left arm.

The A1 Russian Open 2014 was very good for the Ukrainian armwrestler. He won fourth in OPEN and 1st in his category in left arm. But his starts in this category became almost routine, that’s why his fights with bigger opponents draw much more attention. In the last A1 he advanced in great style, second only to the strongest opponents: Alexey Semerenko, Andrey  Pushkar and  Denis Cyplenkov. Also in the final eight were: Farid Usmanli,  Artem Taynov,Krasimir Kostadinov and Todd Hutchings.

What was sensational, Oleg Zhoh beat Zelimkhan Zankarhanov. Today’s audience likes to see the Ukrainian fighter pin down heavy opponents. A win over Pushkar or Cyplenkov could be a sensation.

If he could even hold Cyplenkov in place – that would be a great achievement. But that didn’t happen, due to the randomness of the draw. Oleg won his 4th place fair and square. His fight with Alex Semerenko was especially worth attention. Oleg beat Semerenko a few times before, but on A1 Russian Open 2014 Alexey beat Oleg twice, proving he made a step forward.

Many are wondering if Oleg is stronger than those who are behind him in A1 charts, but haven’t met him at the table. Often a weak guy can have a lot of luck. And only his next fights can answer that question.

Oleg Zhoh looks quite adamant to guys weighing less than 80 kilo. It’s enough to recall his confrontation with Devon Larratt, when Oleg resisted him steadfastly. Of course, it’s too early to speak of Oleg’s absolute domination in the world’s ranks. It might be worth it for him to gain a little weight, about 20 kilos, his left arm might not lose then.

His rivals aren’t sleeping, they train knowing that their rivals are also training hard.

I’m sure that Oleg will remain a hot topic for a long time.
