Dmitry Silaev is recovering! # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

Dmitry Silaev, multiple World and European armwrestling Champion, who was injured during the Professional Armwrestling World Cup “Zloty Tur 2018” told armpower.net about his condition today by phone from Krasnoyarsk. ()

Dmitry Silaev, according to the forecasts of many experts, was the best candidate for the first place in the category of +105 kilogram and in the overall category of the Professional Armwrestling World Cup “Zloty Tur 2018”.

In 2017, Dmitry took the third place in the category and overall left hand, giving way to Levan Saginashvili and Vitaly Laletin. On the right hand, Dmitry took the fifth place in 2017 in the category after Saginashvili, Yankovsky, Kurdecha and Tsvetkov, and in overall category - the third after Saginashvili and Ongarbaev.

Since this year Levan Saginashvili, Vitaly Laletin and Alex Kurdecha fought on the Vendetta All Stars and therefore did not take part in the Zloty Tur, and Kydyrgali Ongarbaev and Georgy Tsvetkov missed this World Cup, Dmitry Silayev was the undisputed favorite of his category and the overall one.

But the injury has made its own adjustments.

On the first day of the World Cup, as expected, Dmitry won first place in the category of +105 kg and in the overall weight category.

Everything went according to plan, and “Siberian Bear”, as Dmitry is being called after Vendetta in Las Vegas, was seriously set to win the title of the Absolute winner of the Professional Armwrestling World Cup “Zloty Tur 2018”.

But on the second day, in fights for the right hand, Dmitriy took only the eighth place, and did not take part in the overall category competitions.  This happened due to the strongest dislocation of the shoulder, which the Siberian got in a duel with his compatriot, Gregory Lyaschuk.

Lyaschuk became the winner of the World Cup in the category of +105 kg on the right hand. In the overall category, the first was Evgeny Prudnik, Ukraine.

Immediately after receiving the injury, Dmitriy got an urgent help from the Polish ambulance team, and then the armwrestler was taken to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed a severe dislocation of the shoulder joint - the displacement of the humerus. Under general anesthesia, Dmitry’s joint was fixed. In this state, Dmitry went home to Krasnoyarsk.

We contacted him by phone and the athlete told us that he is getting better and after three or four months he will be able to return to training.

Dmitry said hello to his fans and said that he is already making plans for the next Professional Armwrestling World Cup “Zloty Tur 2018”, where he will win the title of Absolute winner on the right and left hand.
