Aleksey Semerenko vs Andrey Karaskin >>>

Aleksey Semerenko vs Andrey Karaskin # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

The Internet went crazy with the recording of a 20-year old boy from Dnipropetrovsk, Andrey Karaskin winning over Alexey Semerenko. ()

Anastasia: Alexey, what was that?

Alexey: Ive slept over the start. Now I know it was silly to fight, and I tried to fight tactically. That cost me an injury. Ive won over the pain two times in the finals. Then, in the Russian Championships, I could barely fight with left hand, I placed third. I barely fought in the OPEN. Andrey is very strong and skilled, he says he wants to beat Pushkar.

Anastasia: Andrey, tell us about your fight with Aleksey. Were you prepared?

Andrey: Emotionally I was ready for this fight, I’ve been preparing for Semerenko for a long time now, as he is the best fighter in my region. The outcome surprised me. I came to the tournament without regenerating first, but still I had the upper hand in every fight. A couple of times I was very close to winning, but Aleksey’s skills and experience finally took me over.

Anastasia: You won with Taras Ivakin in the past. Tell us about that fight.

Andrey: Yes, I remember that one. He was invited for a 6 losses armfight in Kiev, in 2013.

At first I thought he was giving his hand away in the first fights to launch an attack later. Ivakin wasn’t in best shape, not like he used to be, but still that victory ensured me that I’m progressing in the right direction.

Anastasia: How much further do you think you’re going to develop?

Andrey: I still have some reserves, Ive been training seriously only for the past 2 years.

Anastasia: What is the basis of training for armwresttling, in your opinion?

Andrey: Power, strength and the ability to “feel” your own body.

Anastasia: Do you have a good sparring partner?

Andrey: Yes, although its not easy to find a partner on a right level, especially seeing as armwrestling is only beginning to catch on in my city. For two years now weve been training with professional equipment. I train at the table with a friend, but its mostly technique. The real sparrings for me take place at tournaments.

Anastasia: What are your plans for the future?

Andrey: This year I’m planning to get to the level of Andrey Pushkar and enter the first three in the Nemiroff 2014.
