On the 19th of June in a holiday resort Casus in Łasno the 1st Open Championships for the Cacus Cup took place. Arm Fanatic Sport club from Grudziądz with Marleną Wawrzyniak at the head, who was invited as the strongest women in Poland for right hand, were asked to organize the championships.
The tournaments were prepared very quickly and almost at the last moment and that is why a lot of experienced armwrestlers did not appear by the beautiful Zamkowe Lake in Łasno. Additionally on the same day the other Championships In Krzęcin were taking place.  In spite of this all there were many people willing to fight. Multiple holiday-maker and inhabitants who visited Casus at the opening of the season decided to try themselves in armwrestling. The sports level was increased by the competitors from the Grudziądz club and experienced armwrestlers from Bydgoszcz: Michał Chmielewski and Mirosław Harmaciński. After a short demonstration of armwrestling techniques and a show fight of Marta Opalińska and Milena Morczyńska the struggles were begun. The tournaments were really exciting. Amateurs were fighting furiously and did not give up easily. In -90kg and +90kg classes the ones who battled were armwrestlers from Grudziądz and Bydgoszcz. They showed a real professional level.

After the armwrestling tournaments it was possible to try oneself in lying weight pressing for the amount of repetitions. Here also the armwrestlers did not give any chances to the others starting. For the whole time a lot of contests, lotteries and games were taking place in the resort.

The tournaments were  really successful ones as they were ta king place in friendly and cheerful atmosphere of sports rivalry. As well the Casus resort as the organizer Marlena Wawrzyniak together with the club rose the occasion, and the satisfaction and contentment of the starting competitors and observers of the tournaments just confirmed that.
