Chris Binnie - summary of the year 2013 # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

Harley Pull and Nemiroff World Cup - those are Chris's two best memories of the year ()

What was the most important armwrestling event in your career this year?

There were 2.

first was the 02 Harley Pull. i had come back for a LEFT arm break and got 5th at the 01 Harley Pull. And I came back in 02,where I won and beat Eric Woerfel 3 times that day, one in the overalls. Eric was the best left in the US and one of the best in the World, and i always wanted to beat him. Second was the 08 Nemiroff, where i got 2nd to Denis and 5th in the open.

What are you going to work on especially next year?

I am going to work on competing more. i had retired in 09 due to back surgery and only pulled in a challenge match in Febuary 13. So i need to get to more tournaments to get my timing right. Also more tendon endurance...

What was the biggest armwrestling event of the year 2013? The biggest World Championships? Or maybe the new way of refereeing? Or the separate handicapped category?

To me, every year the biggest armwrestling event is Nemiroff. Also, i think cameras at World level events are a great idea, BUT the elbow fouls have to change. Armwrestlers need to ARMWRESTLE. Also, i think to many refs at one meet leads to inconsistency for the Armwrestler

What was missing this year in the armwrestling events? What would you like to see next year?

I don't think anything was missing. What i mentioned about the Reffereeing in question 3. easing up on elbow fouls, let the Pullers pull. And less Refs at tournaments, so there is more consistency for the Pullers. Can't wait for the TOP 16. Maybe there will be a LEFT TOP 16 soon......And if so, I get an invite...
