After a long break, WAC and PAL are GO. The famous Vendetta in Vegas event is back. Armfight #43 is coming this July.
We will see stars like Andrey Pushkar, Evgenyi Prudnik or Tim Bresnan fighting at the table. An interesting bout will be fought by multiple world champion from USA – Vazghen Soghoyan and Chris Gobby from Canada. They will fight in welterweight category – 70 kg.
I wrestle with both arms, and even though I’m right-handed, my left arm is my dominant – says Chris Gobby, Canadian armwrestler. – I won all my most important fights with my left.
When asked about his toughest opponent so far, Chris says Lubomir Jagnesak.
The strongest arm I have encountered in the category above 90 kg – he says.
Chris’s training revolves around specific isometric exercises and compound power workouts, non-specific to armwrestling.
The main variable deciding on my workouts is elbow inflammation – says the Canadian. – in preparation for Vazghen I will focus mainly on wrist / hand containment. His technique is very balanced, with no apparent weakness. His hand and wrist are world lightweight elite. I have to prepare relly hard to stop or minimize his pronation. I never focus on results, but on the details of preparation. That is all we can really control.
Armfight #43 will take place on the 12th of July, Sunday, 15-18 at the Vinyl Club, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
