Corey Miller: it wasn't easy! # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

What surprised Miller in his fight with Soghoyan? ()

One of the exciting fights of Armfight #44 was Soghoyan vs Miller. Soghoyan is a three times World Champion and two-times European champion, regularily honored as USA's best Armenian sportsman. At Armfight #43 he beat his opponent, Chris Gobby from Canada, with a huge advantage – 5:1. This time, at Armfight # 44, he faced Corey Miller. And he lost 5:1. Miller left him no chances.

The fight went well – says Miller. I feel I was stronger that day. The score was what I expected, actually. I hoped for 6:0 or at least 4:2.

At the October Vendetta, Corey Miller faced Vazghen Soghoyan in 70 kg 140 - 155 lbs, welterweight. Even before the event, Miller said – Vazghen can be trouble to anyone. Am I affraid of his style? Not at all.

I want to fight hard and win, or at least place high.

And he won, but it wasn't easy.

It's never easy – says Miller. - It takes a lot of heart and focus to get out in front of a crowd like that. - It was a surprise to me that he hasn't switched his style once after the first two rounds. I was also surprised how well I held on against his hook. But it worked!

The event also went well, and drew a large audience. There was also a live broadcast on armpower.net.

The armfight was very professional – says Miller. - the PAL / WAC team are one of the best and nicest promotors in the sport, I hope they reach out to me again!

Armfight #44 took place 24 October in Las Vegas, on one of the stages at Fremont Street.
