The leader of the up to 90 kg weight class men Eugene Prudnik from Ukraine met fierce competitors’ resistance at the last European Armwrestling Championships in Bulgaria. ()

Eugene Prudnik in the past few years has turned into a full-fledged World armwrestling Star, won the hearts of fans around the world.

For a long time Eugene "picked up" the keys to the multiple World’s and European Champion Rustam Babayev, and in 2010 by their final matches at the European Championship in Moscow it was clear that he is determined to win.

The first triumph at the starry sky of Armwrestling came to him in 2013, when as a result of persistent fight including a variety of magical techniques Eugene took over Babayev.

Many skeptics have expressed the view that that victory did not mean that Eugene became a new Star of armwrestling.

In the autumn of 2013 Prudnik stated by the result of of his wrestling at the Nemiroff World Cup, where he was able to win the Star of Russian and world armwrestling Khadzhimurat Zoloev, that he is going to stay at the World’s Top for some serious period of time.

There, Eugene, albeit on fouls, won over overseas armwrestling Star - charismatic Tim Bresnan.

In 2014, Eugene took part in A1 tournament in Moscow, where he won such famous athletes as Spartak Zoloyev, Alexei Semerenko, Ferit Osmanli.

Of course, many fans expect from Eugene new victories and new names among his slain opponents, and we are waiting for them.

European Championship 2015 for Eugene went with a few changes - he moved into the class of 90 kg from the familiar 85 kg weight class. Perhaps back in 2014, after the victory over the leader of the Russian team in the weight class up to 90 kg Spartak Zoloev, Eugene felt the strength and confidence to be successful among the heavier competitors.

In preliminary bouts he was destined to meet two famous and talented armrestlers -  strong, technically experienced and, of course, different in the manner of conducting matches.

To the surprise of many, but not for the hot Spartak Zoloyev and his fans - he was able to take a convenient starting position for the match and took over Eugene, albeit for fouls. Naturally, not only in the hall, but also by monitor screens viewers were puzzled - what went wrong?

The answer was obvious: Spartak Zoloyev, being the successor of the Zoloev’s family dynasty is training with the best, and being one of the best armrestlers of the world, too. Spartak does not stand still and progresses not only in the physical qualities. His high technical preparedness and tactical literacy during the match indicate that he works on mistakes and trains persistently.

Eugene was able to redeem the defeat in the preliminary matches, winning the semi-final match over Spartak. At the end of the Championship Eugene without any problems twice won Raimonds Antonovich from Latvia and received another European title.

Before the upcoming Vendetta in Vegas armfight in the US, organized by the PAL USA, with older armwrestler Tim Bresnan he should make the analysis of his fights in Bulgaria and find time to "patch up" existing "gaps" in his training.

Very soon we will see these fights, and estimate how Tim and Eugene analyzed their previous meetings, and whether the conclusions and emphases were made right before the Vendetta armfight.

We invite all of you to take part in discussions on Vendetta armfights, to express your suggestions and predictions at our website and in official groups in social networks.
