We would like to inform that this year’s European Armwrestling League – Poland 2009 has been canceled. The main organizer – EVENTIC due to the financial crisis has withdrawn as the main sponsor of the event (despite the signed contract) in the last moment. 

The PAL board would like to apologize to all the fans and most of all the athletes who have been preparing for the event. The budget of such an event is so big that PAL is not able to find a key sponsor on such short notice.   

We would also want to inform that the contract for the event has been signed in august 2008.

That’s why PAL has not decided to organize any last year’s nor this year’s arm fights or the Polish Armwrestling League. Moreover the Euro Arm League 2009 has been prepared as a huge undertaking both financial and medial. Reports from each edition were supposed to be shown on national and international TV.  

As promoters of professional arm wrestling fights we lament that such event won’t take place despite the readiness of athletes and their long preparation. The European Armwrestling League 2009 was planned as a display of skills of both European and Polish pullers.
