A few hours ago, the Head referee of the European Armwrestling Federation Harri Naskali has passed away.

Due to the long illness he was not always able to participate in tournaments, but this man will forever remain in our memory as a fair referee and a professional of our sport.

I met Harri Naskali first time in 2000, during the European Championship in Poland, at the very beginning of the history of our Federation. After in 2000, he organized the World Championship in a polar town of Rovaniemi, where I first represented the Polish armwrestling.

Many times we helped each other, but this time our hands were not strong enough to keep him with us. He will forever remain in our hearts and we pay tribute to his blessed memory by the minute of silence before the start of our tournaments.
