Chermen Khadaev is a 25 year old competitor from Russia. He began his armwrestling career in 1999 - 2000. At that time, living in a small village near Vladikavkaz he began his first adventure with armwrestling. But his real adventure with the sports discipline in earnest began in 2003, when he joined the Enaldiev’s team – a referee of the leading world players. Then in 2003 he began to achieve his first successes at national and international arena - a win in the junior category of the Russian Championship, promotion to the National Team for European and World Championships, the silver medal at the European Championships in Hanau, Germany, and the gold medal at the World Junior Championships - Gdynia 2003. A year later, at European struggle he also reached the podium, but the third place. In 2006, as a senior, at the European Championships in Hungary he won the gold medal.

Between 2007 and 2008 Chermen Khadaev because of an injury (in accidental circumstances Chermen lost the tip of the little finger) did not participate in any, meaningful armwrestling competitions. As he told us in a telephone interview: "... I was very depressed because fingers play a big role in life of every armwrestlers".

He returned to fight on the armwrestling arena in 2010, when he was drafted into the Russian National Team at the European and World Championships. At the Russian European Championships - Moscow 2010 he again won the gold medal, a few months later at the World Championships in Las Vegas, USA he won the vice championship of seniors.

The next step in the sports career of the Russian player will be a professional, six-rounds fight of the PAL organization for the right hand in the up to 95kg class.

His opponent will be not just anybody – but the leading Bulgarian National Team player - Krasimir Kostadinov. It will be practically a duel of the evening, performed by grandmasters of the sport. Their extensive experience and skills will make them show live, us – viewers, both on the spot and in front of TV-sets (TV 7 Bulgaria and web  TV: www.redmediatv.ru, www.armbets.tv) armwrestling on a high and exciting level. It is worth any price to watch this duel of professional armwrestlers.

"At the last European Championships in Turkey after a long minutes fight between these competitors referees awarded the first prize to the Bulgarian player (he won on the fouls). This was for me one of the best fights of the championships"- said Igor Mazurenko, a promoter of the professional armwrestling.

After the duel, the promoters of the PAL (Professional Armwrestling League) organization, to see whose hook is stronger, decided  at once to organize six-round meetings of these two players.

Chermen Khadaev is a real hook champion. Just like his opponent - Krasimir Kostandinov. As the Russian player said "... I virtually never use the top fighting technique. If I have to, I do it very occasionally.

Lateral pressure is also not my favourite fighting technique. The Russian athlete trains 3-4 times a week, of which he spares twice a week. In his training arsenal exercises for biceps occupy 60-70%, and wrist exercises up to 30-40%. From the upright hand on the bicep he lifts 50 kg a few times. His record of holding a dumbbell on biceps is 130 kg with one hand. The situation with the wrist is a little worse, because as the player says himself: "I work with the weight of 65-70 kg". Despite such a large disparity between the strength of the wrist and bicep Khadaev easily beats his competitors in a hook technique. Will it be the same also this time?
