With the development of armwrestling, new weight categories are being added. So far we had 7 categories – including unlimited in Vendetta and OPEN in Professionals' World Cup.

Now there will be 8 categories. Contestants who had a hard time in the superhaevyweight category will now fight in their own weight category - 105 kg - 210 – 231 lbs Heavy weight.

- Many armwrestlers, like Kostadinov or Laletin, wrestling in 102 – 105 have no chance when facing titans like Bresnan (about 130 kg) or Tsyplenkov (about 140 kg) – says Igor Mazurenko, PAL president. - That's why we are adapting the categories to the capabilities of our wrestlers.

The new weight category will be implemented on the 1^st of April 2016.

63 kg under 139 lbs Lightweight

70 kg 140 - 155 lbs Welterweight

78 kg 156 - 172 lbs Middleweight

86 kg 173 - 190 lbs Light heavy weight

95 kg 191 - 210 lbs Heavy weight

95 + kg over 210 lbs Superheavyweight
