Poles 4 Gold Medals at Golem's Hand # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

Once again the Polish armwrestling team has demonstrated how important they are in Europe. This time, to the Czech championship "Golem's Hand", went only two competitors: Mariusz Podgorski from Warsaw, in the 70 kg class, and Rafal Wozny from Walbrzych, in the 80 kg class. Both men swept all that was to take, they won two gold medals, which despite such a small staff, gave them the third place in the team classification.

This year's competitions took place on the 5th February in Brno. Right here in the Czech Republic competitors from eight European countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Georgia, and of course Poland met. Over 100 athlets took the fight in 7 weight classes. The competition was great, competitors who came have been the European leaders for years, though: Radoslav Dobrovice, Peter Kovacs and Snezana Babayev. However our athletes have left their colleagues no illusions, and once again proved that, in their weight classes they are simply the best.

Up to 70 kg class, and 16 players in it. Mariusz Podgorski from Python Warsaw won each fight.  So he had no problems with entering the finals. The cup-final also did not caused any trouble to this Polish player. He ended the winning final fight, where he met the Slovak Pavol Gettleremvery, quickly. That's how we won the first gold medal! Congratulations.

Up to 80 kg class, and here 17 players, together with our representative Rafal Wozny from Heracles Walbrzych. It quickly turned out that it was also Rafal's day. Without any defeat Rafal reached the cup-finals, in which he gave no chance to his rival Martin Hanesowi. Second gold for Poland! Congratulations.

Right Arm:

Up to 70 kg class, 20 players, among which was the best also this time Mariusz Podgorski. Mariusz entered to the finals without any defeat and in the cup-finals he met the same rival, whom he did on the left hand. Again, Mariusz  wins easily, he is first in this class. The third gold medal for Poland! Congratulations.

Up to 80 kg class, in which 16 European players joined the to compete. Again, the best was the Pole! Rafal Wozny entered the finals like stink, and without any trouble defeated his rival, winning the fourth gold medal for Poland! Congratulations.

"Were was no more to gain! Four gold medals for the two representatives of Poland, it is a proof of the extremely high level of our armrestlingu. Professions at a high level, the leading European rivals, although with no chance in the fight with us - Poles"- said after Mariusz Podgorski afetr the competitions.

It is a pity that to the Czech championship went only two Poles. If there were maybe two more, then who knows, maybe we would be in first place in the team classification. It remains to congratulate our great players and wish them further success in future competitions.
