On January 9th  the fifth South Polish Championships in Wodzislaw Slaski under the auspices of the Federation Armwrestling Poland were held. The main organizer, as in previous years, was Wodzisławski Cultural Center with Przemyslaw Gajdowicz at the helm. Over 70 competitors from the whole Poland came to the tournaments. Despite the location deep in the south of Poland, representatives of such clubs as: UKS 16 Koszalin, Python Warsaw, Zloty Niedzwiedz Bydgoszcz, Szaki Zary, but also the nearby clubs and especially the Tytan Jaworzno club that put up the largest group of 32 players, came.

Those who were there saw incredible duels, the magnitude of surprises and a high sports level of all of the medalists, the ones that were not there after checking the results (HERE) can see how hard it was. There were plenty of famous names on the podium: Usher, Kajdas, Molenda, Podgorski, Skalski and many others. But let's focus on the podium of the Open class. 

The Open class was supposed to be the hit of the program and so it happened, surprises were not lacking, because the winner was Natan Kajdas who beat the tired Martin Skalski (tough fights with Wojciech Pietak) in the cup-final. Third place went to Rafal Wozny. 

To sum up the whole event, it is fair to say that the organizers are doing a great job organizing the next tournament and at the same time constantly raising the level of thier event.
