Success of the Polish Referees at Euroarm 2011 # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

European Championships 2011 finished with two medals for the Polish National Team. And this is not the end of the success of our country during this tournament.

As Harri Naskali writes to us - Piotr Szczerba (Head Referee of the Polish Federation Armwrestling) joind the EAF Referees Panel and he will officially sit on it from today. Also, Dariusz Groch was also honored and was one of the candidates for the title of best referee of this year's European Championships.

Here is the official letter of the Head Referee of the EAF:

"Head referees Appraisal EAF Championships Turkey 2011

Considering before we left for Turkey we were very concerned about the internal problems the Turkish federation were having and didn’t know what to expect.

When we arrived we were very relieved to find that the complex was beautiful and the problems had been resolved due to the hard work of the good people in the Turkish federation and our EAF executive leaders.

The Competition itself was fantastic! It ran very quickly due to our scoring team and the level of wrestling was of the highest standard and our referees were exceptional they worked in a very professional way enforcing the rules yet with care and consideration for the wrestlers.

With so many good referees it was difficult to nominate the best but after carful consideration we awarded VENERA URAZGILDEEVA from Russia as the best referee for 2011 for an outstanding performance at her first European Championships as a referee.

I would also like to congratulate Piotr Szczerba on becoming a member of the EAF referees panel well done.
