On the 20th of March 2010 in Pennsylvania  the 7th Annual PA Winter Blast Armwrestling Tournament took place, As it turned out the tournaments were very popular. 100 strongmen who compete in amateur and professional classes took part. Among the competitors who appeared at the tournaments were mainly from the various states of the USA but also several representatives of other countries: Latvia, Brazil and Poland. They competed at following classes: right hand 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, 110 kg, +110 kg and left hand: 80 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, 110 kg, +110 kg and women OPEN – right hand.
At the beginning 3 fights of 5 rounds Challenge Matches took places, scores:

Shawn Lattimer beat Chris Ratchford (right hand)
Max Maxwell beat Steve Carbone (right hand)
Mark Coviello beat Mike Berardine (left hand)

Then women and amateurs competed. Danielle Winans won women OPEN class  beating Sue Fisher in the cup-final. Lisa Sherer ranked third. Among amateurs 3 right hand classes were driven: kg, 90 kg and +90 kg. The nice surprise was winning the over 80 kg class by Darius Sypalis from Latvia. The rest positions of the class as well as the rest of the classes were occupied by the American competitors.

At the end the professionals’ rivalry took place. And here there were many long and impressive duels.

Of course were not at loss of European accent. At up to 70kg right hand class the competitor from Poland – Dariusz Wiśniewski ranked second (on the left in the upper photo).  In turn at up to 90kg left hand class the winner was the Latvian competitor (the second for right hand). Remaining medal positions of all the weight classes were occupied by the American competitors. The strongest competitor of the right hand turned to be Tim Bresnan and of the left hand Shawn Lattimer.
