On the 29th September Ukrainian National Team consisted of 12 players are flying to Yekaterinburg, to take part in the World Armlifting Championships which will be held in Yekaterinburg on the 2nd October 2011, as a part of the largest in Europe and Russia power sports festival – multitournament - "Zloty Tygrys - V".

We managed to gather almost all of the most powerful Ukrainian armlifters! The following players went to the making of the National Team:

Igor Kupinsky (absolute Ukrainian Champion 2011 - the result of 113.5 kg)
Stas Saprin (Champion and Ukrainian former Champion - 108 kg)
Andrey Sharkov (the heavyweight class Ukrainian Champion - the result of 108 kg)

Vyacheslav Gorbunov will perform in the masters category, and among juniors we will see Rustem Suleymanov. Also a woman - Irina Postnikova is a part of the National Team.

Irina has really improved her results since recent championships, and we hope she comes home with the master title. We are really happy that one of the main sponsors of the Team is a well known in Ukraine FitMax company – producer of supplements and nutritions for athletes.

Call-up to the Russian National Team allows us to think that it will be a very strong team. Moreover, the Russians, as they say, will be helped by the walls. There are two players achieving great results - 125 and 127 kg In the Russian team - Daragan and Sarychev, we would like to see these heroes at the Championships. But we will hold out. Therefore, the struggle between these two teams will be uncompromising, fierce and exciting.

Any way, we are waiting for the other mwrestkers to become interested in this sports discipline. For now we can cheer such armwrestlers as Andrey Sharkov, who also decided to take up another sports discipline.
