Krasimir Kostadinov (BUL) vs Chermen Khadaev (RUS)

Anyone who watched this fight live has certainly formed an opinion that the favorite of the fight was Krasimir Kostadinov from Bulgaria. And although experts earlier opinions were not clear, the advantage in the online ranking of 51% to 49% had Chermen Khadaev from Russia. It is well known that Bulgarians stoke on their compatriot’s victory, while independent experts from Turkey, Russia, other countries, however, gave an advantage to the Russian. As you can see before the fight Chermen’s predominance was little.

However, as an expert and direct observer I’ll say, that in this duel Chermen Khadaev ran out of everything. He did not have endurance (in contrast to many Russian experts’ predictions), he had no strength, and in addition to all this it turned out that his injuries of elbow joint (growths on the elbow joint did not allow him to fully straighten his elbow) renewed.

20110825153321_343.jpgImmediately some questions appeared to me: what actually happened during the duel? Why did Chermen Khadaev withstand Krasimir Kostadinov three months ago at the European Championships in Turkey, where he almost won (he lost by fouls), now was not able to do anything?

Recently, the Russian lives in Slovakia. As he claimed he had the opportunity to prepare for the duel, but it was not such a preparation, as it would be in his hometown of Vladikavkaz in Russia. Generally, at the European Championships in Turkey ,Chermen fought in up to 100 kg weighting 99 kg then. To the duel in Bulgaria he arrived with the weight of 93kg. Such a weight shortage unfortunately results in lost of the strenght. Khadaev could not fight using maximal lateral pressure, and Krassimir’s defense and counterattack were so strong that he was not able to stop the coasted hand of the Bulgarian player, and thus make an appropriate fight.

Krasimir Kostadinov was in a great form. Starting with a weight of 95 kg he showed everything he could. He was strong, tough and in contrast to his opponent he had no injuries. All these three elements gave the Bulgarian a decent win in all six rounds. I have never not seen such a  good form of Krassimir so far, that he showed at the 39th Vendetta in Bulgaria. May he keep this form at this year's Professionals’ World Cup - Nemirofff World Cup 2011, which will take place on 14th-15th October 2011 in Ożarów Mazowiecki (near Warsaw).
