How to fight, get back in shape and regenerate, from Vladimir Nichik. ()

About technique:

I fight over the top only, and that’s what I train for. I think that in the beginning one should ascertain one’s optimal fighting technique based on one’s anthropometrical data. I don’t have a good side tendon, so hook is a no go for me. Over the top is the best for me, it’s the shortest way to win and minimize injury.

I work by the rule that training is movement, not muscle groups. We can split this movement into sections and work each section separately. Just like weight lifters work each lifting stage separately. Pronation and pressure are the basics here.

On regeneration:

To avoid regeneration problems after a lot of fights, it’s important to divide one’s workout time (6-20 weeks) into specially designed stamina exercises. The most common problem after a fight is the pumped-out arm. The main reason for this is using citruline or arginine-based supplements.

On injuries:

I had the usual injuriesarm joints and ligaments. I can say from experience that supplementation doesnt help. The most effective method is the algorithmquickly reduce inflammation and regenerate step by step. Injuries should be prevented, not treated. In order to do that, one should be careful about weights and strains.
