These long awaited events will begin this saturday - Zloty Tur, and the Disabled Cup - on Monday. The contestants and fans were welcomed by the Chairman of the Rumia City Council who underlined Rumia's goal to promote the city by means of sports events. 

Igor Mazurenko - the promoter of professional armwrestling, recalled the evolution of the Cup. Since the first edition, this tournament got huge recognition. Currently it is the most recognizable and prestigious tournament in the world. More people arrive to compete every year, with women joining in a few years back.

Every year there are also better prizes and the Cup prestige is growing. The city of Rumia is the best place to hold the tournament and we are hoping that the popularity of our sport will help promote this modern, sports-minded city.
