PROFESSIONAL ARMWRESTLING GALA IN STAROGARD GDANSKI - THE SHOW AND ANDRENALINE

The andrenaline, a fantastic show and a standing applause for the Polish armwrestler Artur Głowiñski - this is a brief summary of what we could witness during the "Professional Armwrestling Gala" in Starogard Gdanski on the 31st of August 2007.

The whole event (under a temporary name of "The Evening Of Stars") - "The Professional Armwrestling Gala, with the show of Ivan Komarenko, all conducted by a famous Polish actor, comedian and a professional master of ceremony Bartosz Brzeskot - began pricesely on 20:00

The Polish branch of PAL (Professional Armwrestling League): Mazurenko Armwrestling Promotion company together with the Centre Of Sport And Recreation in Starogard Gdanski, were the main organizers of this important event.

The whole show began with Ivan's Komarenko concert. But the crowd gathered in the hall that evening was not there to watch only his perfomance. What's most important, they were all there to witness a fantastic armwrestling event. I must admit, however that the singer's perfomance was a really nice addition to the whole armwrestling show.

But let's go straight to the point. The first fight that we could watch, was  the clash between Hristo Delidjakov from Bulgaria and the Polish fighter - Piotr Bartosiewicz, in up to 70 kg category (PAL). Both contestants met last year in Gdynia (september 2006). The Bulgarian armwrestler turned out to be a little better back then (final score 2:4). This time it was the Pole who had won the fight. The duel was quite an equal one, even though the Polish armwrestler finished with 4:2 score in the end.

In the second fight we could wintess Normunds Tomson (Latvia) fighting with Andrey Pushkar (Ukraine). This was a fight in the super heavy cateegory of PAL : +95 . The experieneced Ukraine armwrestler just smashed his opponed with the score of 6:0.

The last duel of the night (the main fight) was both thrilling and impressive. This was a clash between Andrey Sharkov from Ukraine and Artur Głowiñski from Poland (fight's PAL category: +95). The Polish armwrestler was the winner here, ending up with 4:2 score. Much can be told about this fight (Sharkov's dress, both armwrestlers threatening each other, the crowd screaming the name of their favourite fighter, a standing ovation in the end and many more details). We know one thing thing for sure - both competitors had shown us what professional armwrestling is all about, the thrill, the fight, This time it was Artur Głowiñski who emerged victorious!
