On 17th September in Woslfsburg in Germany, in the city of Volfswagen, an international armwrestling tournament played annually - Over The Top took place. About 100 players from Europe arrived. In addition to athletes from Germany, there were competitors from Poland, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Holland, and Belgium. The competition took place on both hands, both among men and women.

The competition started with the left-hand struggles.

The Women Open class was won by Kathrin Mook from Germany. Only three men weight classes made a number of competitors in each category large enough and caused a lot of interesting fights.

70 kg class, was really matched, in the end the winner was a Germany player Jan Tager, who beat Rafal Fiolek in the final fight. Third place went for Dariusz Wisniewski (injured in the semi-final battle).

In the category of 90 kg (about 30 competitors took off!!!) a Slovak - Radoslaw Dobrovic ruled. He made everyone unable to bid fair to succeed. However Wieslaw Rzanny deserves recognition, as he ranked second, and his fierce fights commanded reputation.

The Open class was the dominance of Jan Germanus from Slovakia.

The right hand, more categories, but no less excitement.

Women's 65 kg class and the win of Caroline Thommen from Sweden. Second place went to the winner of the left hand Kathrin Mook from Germany, the third was Nicole Romkes from the Netherlands. Fourth, the worst place for an athlete was the only women from Poland taking part - Joanna Daminska.

The women Open class was conquered by Gina Swientek from Germany, who defeated Anne Melin from Finland. The third place got Laura Branding from Germany.

Men classes began the fights of the up to 60 kg competitors. Here, only the Germans appeared, the winner was Fabian Tager.

In 70 kg class, where Mariusz Podgorski did not take part, there was only one favourite and he did not fail. Matthias Schlitte easily won all the fights, defeating Rafal Fiolek. The third place went to John Tager, the winner of this class in the left-hand competition.

The next 80 kg class, here Mariusz Podgorski entered the cup-final directly, but unfortunately he was twice beaten by a German, Andreas Hoffner. But it should be noted, that Mariusz weighed about 70 kg, was very ill after returning from Egypt and had a sleepless night! The third place went quickly to a Frenchman, David Diouf.

90 kg was once again the absolute dominance of Radoslav Dobrovica from Slovakia, who in the cup-final easily defeated Thomas Lanvermeyer from Germany. The next two palaces went to the Poles. The third place on the podium for Adam Zawadzki, although he may have been second ...The fourth place Wieslaw Rzanny.

100 kg class and once more Jan Germanus shows that he is extremely strong and makes other competitors have no chance. The second ranked Cedric La Cola from Belgium, the third Christian Stahlofen from Germany.

The last men +100 kg class, the winner Fedor Snejder from Germany, the second place Andreas Stahlberg from Sweden and the third a brave fighter from Slovakia Rasto Tamaga.

As it happens in Germany, the competition were prepared with a great accuracy, care and everything in accordance with time. The only drawback, but a very significant one were the referees, who according to me and many other players a little distorted the results ... But after losing everyone complains
