XII Polish Armwrestling Championship
Grudziadz
23rd-24th-25th March2012
Grudziadz is a burg city by the river Wisla, in West-Pomeranian voivodedship. The is the city where many famous competitors of various disciplines, come from. For us – the armwrestlers, it is the city, where an excellent club UKS Arm Fanatic Sport, conducted by a trainer and a competitor Marlena Wawrzyniak works. Arm Fanatic is represented by such Polish competitors as Marta Opalinska , Maciej Gralak i Slawomir Malas. This is the c lub that took up the organization of the nation al tournaments for the titles of the champions. We have been expecting everything to be great, due to very through preparations. And it was … even better! It was EXTRA great! In every aspect, every single detail. Without any delays, at four tables during the eliminations, at two tables in the semi-finals and finally with a professional setting worth international events – finals at one table with hostesses, lights and artistic setting. Fans rose to the challenge and in a “bell” way created an additional setting and excitement. I will not be describing it in details, not to make disappointed those who did not come. I’ll only write that the cake with twelve candles looked beautiful and tasty.
15 clubs pointed in junior classes. Competitors from 22 clubs from every part of Poland fought for the points of the general team classification. The difference between the first two club was equal only 13points. The fight for the next six places was matched, too. Almost two hundred players took part in the tournament.
Excitement in the rivalry for the title of the Polish Champion and team primacy were great. The level of many fights was really high, due to the used techniques, players’ control of the situation and conscious reactions to opponent’s actions and it lets us be optimistic about incoming European Championships in Gdansk in May. Our representatives will not be “hospitable” for opponents for sure.
However we promise you perfect organization, setting and atmosphere.
