Yes! Not only Swedish but also “ladies’ ” raid against the box of the European Championships. And it’s all due to Heidi Andersson, who is tirelessly propagating Armwrestling as a ladies’ sport. Heidi is a nine times World Champion of the 60; 65; 70 kg classes, she last reached the podium in 2011 in Kazakhstan, and the first title she gained in 1999.
Apart from trainings and starts, the Swede has a great contribution in propagation of armwrestling especially among her compatriots.
It’s worth to know that the number of the female juniors in the Swedish team exceeds the number of male juniors! Sweden is probably the only country of this kind.
The ones to defend their titles will be inter alia: Fia Reisek (bronze on the left arm and silver on the high arm in -60 kg); Sarah Backman (double gold in -65 kg); Elin Haag (silver on the left arm in -75 kg) and some other competitors of “higher” age classes
And who are the ones to oppose to the „Swedish invasion” against Gdansk? It will turn out in May.
