Hi Terens, did you cane home without any problems?
Terens Operman:Yeah! We traveled about two hundred kilometers by bus, form Zagora to Sofia, then we spend some time in Sofia. Then the flight to Istanbul. While the last part of the trip from Istanbul to the South Africa I had four seat at my disposal so I slept like a log. But now it’s the end of lazing about and resting as we both get back to work tomorrow.
What’s your impression of this tournament?
Terens, young sportsmen, and judges.
Terens: This was one of the most professional competitions I’ve been to. Food was delicious, I especially liked Bulgarian pizza. Also people were so nice and friendly. And the girls are so beautiful in Bulgaria!
Are you satisfied with the result?
Terens: No! The 7th place is not a reason to be happy with. Maybe if the drawing had been luckier for me… but it’s just my suspicion. But I have an impression that the level of my strength was similar to the other players. I fought with John Brzenk and I felt that his hook was quite similar to Igor Miroshnik’s. And Igor fought quite a matched duel with Todd, who finally ranked the second. So I think my strength is okay. However resistance is another matter. This is my problem. My arm had already been exhausted after the third round with John. And then, in the fifth round, I was close to have my elbow seriously injured.
What are you current plans?
Terens: I’ll be training for all I’m worth. One more year and I’ll be bigger, stronger and faster that I’m now.
What do you think of the ARMFIGHT system?
Terens: Six-round match is something especially for me, I love it! That’s better than a single fight.
Where and when will we see you again?
Terens: I’ll fight anywhere I am invited, with every armwrestler form our planet. Currently I don’t have many invitations from Europe or the USA. But if everything goes as I expect, I’ll come to A1 in Moscow. I’ll be there! Then, the World Championships in Brazil. And of course the NEMIROFF WORLD CUP in Poland in Warsaw.
Thanks for talking, see you in Warsaw!
Terens: See you!
