For at least two years the most stable category in the European and World Championships has been -86 kg. The absolute, total, notorious and autocratic king in this category has been Rustam Babayev (Ukraine).
The only sportsmen who were in 2011-2012 able to get a set of eight gold medals at the European Championship 2011, World Cup 2011, European Championships 2012 and World Cup 2012 were Andrey Pushkar and him. In these competitions Rustam took part in the category up to 85 kg.

His notorious rival is his much younger and seriously aspiring to gold fellow countryman Ievgenii Prudnyk. For five times he’s stood on the second step of the podium of the European Championship and World Cup. After the final battle in Gdansk, Rustam admitted with a smile: - "I can feel the breath of a Young Wolf right behind my back", he feels his strength and appreciates the progress he’s made.
Once, in 2011 in Kazakhstan, the silver was won by the Russian Eldarov Abdul, in the right hand category. In 2012, in Brazil, there appeared another contender with an appetite for gold in the left hand and right hand categories. That was the perfect Maksim Maksimov from Russia.
Let us now analyze the category PAL, that is -86 kg, in which the contestants take part at the Nemiroff World Cup. Don’t forget that Rustam appeared at the Gold Tur Cup number two, in 2001. The tournament took then place in Gdynia (Poland). His category at the moment was -73 kg. Only during the Nemiroff World Cup 2005 we could see him in the weight category up to 86 kg, in which he was the winner, of course. As a reminder, I’d like to add that in the -63 kg category Viktor Bratchenia was the first; Khadzimuzat Zoloev was the best in the 70 kg and Arsenic Liliev – in the 78 kg category.
Let's start, for instance, from 2009. Left Hand: Rustam Babayev was the first, Roman Filippov (Russia) – the second. Right hand: Rustam again, Piotr Bartoszewicz from Poland took the second place.
The year 2010 was special for the Nemiroff World Cup not only because of Denis Cyplenkov and his triumph in the open category for both hands. The Babayev brothers took the first two places on the podium on the first and second day. The older one Rustam was number one, of course, and the younger one Ruslan was number two.
In 2011 - Rustam won the category for both hands. Number two in the left hand category was Aleksandr Getalo (Kazakhstan), and in the right hand category Stoyan Golemanov (Bulgaria) was number one.
During the Moscow A1 (July 2012) on other than weight classes elsewhere. Rustam Babayev started in -90 kg. On the left hand Rustam defeated Alan Carikaev, Taymuraz Tsahilov, Serge Pisarkov, Muharbek Karaev and many, many others. On the right is also dealt with: Khadzimurat Zoloev, Roman Fillipov, Alexander Gusov, Kazimir Iskanderov.
Who threaten him in Warsaw?
From Russia announced the -86 kg (left and right): Maxim Maximov, Taimuraz Tsakhilov, Maxim Cherski, Alik Kachmazov. Alik Kachmazov was in 2011 the third on the left and 8 to the right.
The composition of Ukraine's Nemiroff 2012 (Category -86 kg) are on the right hand - of course Rustam Babayev. Eduard Serdiuk, good old rival Eduard Prudnik and Matiash. On the left - Rustam Babaev, Eduard Serdiuk, Eduard Matiash, Eugen Starushchenko. Eduard Serdiuk on Nemiroff 2011 was the third on the right. During this year's Lion Cup - Fitmax Challenge 2012 in -86 KG won the category on the right hand (right hand only were played).
Poles will put "on Rustam" Thomas Szewczyk, who was fourth on his left hand in 2011, Wieslaw Rzannego and Emil Wojtyra.
In my opinion, the only Ukrainian, which Rustam may fear that Ievgenii Prudnyk. If you can not beat that year old rival, then when? Similarly, the Russian judge Maxim Maximov opportunities. Or this year, in the autumn but the Warsaw beat Rustam on one hand, or will be "eternally second" on European and world championships throughout 2013. Have any of Poles have a chance? I'm sorry, but I do not think it's real.
Who else can threaten Rustam Babayev total domination in the -86 kg category? We will give you further information about the reported players.
But, but, maybe, like, yeah, anyway, just in case - recall of Nemiroff open table for the preceding years. What do we see?
Babayev 2009 and the second on the right, with John, before Pushkar. Rustam 2010 and the second on the left for Cyplenkov and before Murat Kariaev. The third on the right. Finally, in 2011, and third place to the left for Denis and Andrey. Now Denis will not be there...
Because it really can be, once again, prove that the issue is not in question: - "Will Rustam win his category?" But in another: - "How high occurs in the open?". Especially when it got free space at the forefront of "super heavy"...
