Confusion!
Marvin Cohen announced he’s organizing an amazing armwrestling tournament - WORLD BAR ARM WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
On 22 May 2013 we wrote about that:
Not only money matters!
What’s also necessary is organizers’ passion and an idea for the whole enterprise. Do people in Las Vegas have such an idea?
They’ve recently announced to the whole world, that they’ve got a lot of money. Here’s what you can read on their website:
There is a huge tournament in Las Vegas that has pay outs for each first place in each class of $10,000 and the overall winner is $20,000. Each first place winner gets a key to a brand new truck, but only one key will start the truck. Marvin Alex Cohen – organizer Joe Hand Promotions, who is the premier distributor of closed circuit pay-per-view "UFC" & boxing and special events in the country.
Dave Chaffee posted this message. I spoke with Marvin Cohen (the man running this tournament) earlier this week and he is a great guy! Very enthusiastic about armwrestling and has big plans in helping our sport grow. I am definitely going to this one! 10 grand to the winner of each weight class/ 20000 to the winner of the heavyweight class. Plus a chance to win a new truck! I’m very excited about this one! And how could you not be with the possibility of winning those prizes?
When we called Marvin to learn more details about the tournament he invited athletes from Europe, in particular those from Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Bulgaria to take part in the competition. He even offered to cover the costs including entry fees, accommodation and promised many other attractions.
Our champion, Marlena Wawrzyniak, considered taking part in the competition in Vegas as a warm-up before the World Championships.

Fortunately, she decided to compete in Gdynia only.
Impressed with the competition in Vegas, we would even call Marvin the Armwrestling Icon.

I dread to read it now:
It looks like competition for „A1” and NEMIROFF WORLD CUP?
Marvin Alex Cohen: Our team respects and honors A1. As well as what Igor Mazurenko has accomplished. Therefore all winners of A1 and Igor’s events (NEMIROFF WORLD CUP) will be given FREE hotel rooms in Las Vegas August 22-23 and 24. Let me know who they will be. Any problems with visas, contact me!
Dear Readers, if need be, I will show you my correspondence with Marvin.
Athletes including Zanna, Tzvetan and Andrey have decided to compete in the World Bar Arm Wrestling Championships due to “propaganda”, it can’t be called otherwise. Full of enthusiasm they went together with Igor Mazurenko to Vegas in the belief that they will be competing in a world-class event.
As soon as they reached London it turned out that the organizer was having some “serious problems”. That’s what he wrote when he emailed me.
And that was the last time we heard from Mr. Marvin Cohen.
Athletes from Europe have already landed in Vegas.
We learned that UAL decided to organize a substitute competition, so that the hosts do not lose their face.
The venue remained the same- Las Vegas
