It is not the issue oc cheating I don’t understand, that will often be met by the argument that everybody does it. A statement difficult to prove right or wrong. Nor that it is potentially dangerous, seeing as most users have brain washed themselves into a do or die mentality. All though in most cases it ends up with neither do or die, just failure. No death before dishonor in reality. What I fail to understand is how users can maintain self respect. Which I actually don’t think they do, because when things have gone far enough, they no longer know who they are without the juice, and no longer have anything of their own to have respect for. It is not about not understanding the risk of exposure, the health risk, or even a lacking sense of fairness and sportsmanship. It is about knowing that you are not enough of a man to try on your own.
It is exactly the same as when a man has given up hope of receiving any love for who he is, and instead chooses to pay a prostitute. They choose to live without self respect. In the words of a famous Swedish poet, they buy their love with money, for they thought there was no other love to be had.
To be very clear, everybody is innocent until proven guilty. This means that unless there is a properly conducted test with a positive result than you have not in the legal meaning of the word used doping, and should not be subjected to any consequences or punishment. However, being asked to submit a test is not a punishment, nor an accusation. Being offended by being asked to submit a test is suspicious in itself. But to lie to me, or anybody else who has been around strength and power sports for 15 years is pointless. If you want me to think you are clean, stay clean. Even if neither will nor can force any consequences on anybody without a positive test result, I will not offend my own intelligence. Of course somebody can have great genetics, no doubt. And there can be lots of reasons for having problems with your skin. And changing training and nutrition can definitely give great results. And in life there are many reasons for somebody’s mood to shift up and down. But things do seem strange when all of these factors show up at once. Of course there can be many explanations, but if it walks like a duck, and it sounds like a duck…
It might then seem strange that I have friends who seemingly fit the above mentioned description. But I think not. I think all people are allowed to have friends, and that all men and women are equal. Even those who are without self respect, are weak and do wrong.
