The year 2013 is over. What was the most important event of your career last year?
Definitely the World Cup. I’m really very satisfied with my scores, especially as I don’t remember anyone ion Poland defending left and right two times in a row.
What will you focus on this year?
Definitely the Polish Championships. Besides that, I’d like to compete in Nemiroff World Cup and beat my 2013 score. I’ll do my best to come seriously prepared to Nemiroff, but still the Polish Cup is the most important to me, as an indicator of the level of work that I’ve put in in the given year.
What was the significant event of the year – the biggest World Cup ever, the new away of refereeing or the separate disabled category?
I think the World Cup in Gdynia qualifies for the title. Many people came, the event had fantastic organization, and the fights were awesome. The country to organize the next World Cup has a high standard to work up to. As for the disabled, I think that the contestants should vote and speak for themselves. A separate event generates additional costs, many people need constant care of coaches, who cannot always travel abroad, for financial as well as other reasons.
We don’t see you often in Poland, why is that?
Because of staying and working abroad, I cannot travel to Poland often. I try to start in events in Germany, Holland, wherever the distance allows.
To sum up, 2013 was the best year in my career, and I hope that 2014 will be even better. And I wish everybody else good luck too!
