Mateusz Popielarczyk, Polish armwrestler
I think the most important day in my life was the day when I began my armwrestling adventure. Before that I was a bad boy who had more talk than walk. Armwrestling has changed my life. I’m not only stronger in body, but also in mind; my character has improved. I’m more confident now and my words become my actions. People who haven’t seen me in a while have trouble believing it’s still me.
Janek Żółciński, Polish armwrestler
I’ve had many important days in my life, each one is special to me. Some were good days, some bad. Each had influence on who I am today. If I had to choose one, it would be the day when my dad took me to my first karate training. On that day I fell in love with sports, with the whole lifestyle, which became my life.
Anders Axklo, sports commentator in Eurosport Sweden
The most important day of my life is always today. Only now can I make choices, change my path, act to repair past damage. All other days I can do nothing. Tomorrow might seem important, but nothing ever happens tomorrow. Everything happens today.
