Friends and Colleagues!
I've always believed that sports is all about skill, strong will and clear rules of competition. I've always said that it's not the score, but fair play that is important. That sport should unite, not divide. All conflicts stop when the Olympics start. That's why I'm very disappointed that the tense situation in Ukraine has changed our plans.
It is with great sadness that I inform all of you, that this year's Nemiroff World Cup is cancelled. Unfortunately, what's happenning in my home country made people and companies that have always worked with us have to put their suport on hold. I understand them.
This is the first time in the 15 years' history of the Professionals' World Cup. Please understand, that this is a unique situation for me too. My team does not despair, however. We have a lot of work and ideas. Lithuania is very close, then Puck and a few other events and surprises. The most important thing is - we are actively dealing with the World Cup sitiation. There are people willing to support us. There's just too little time to do anything this year. I believe that a year's break will allow us to organize an even bigger and better event next year.
See you in Lithuania,
Igor Mazurenko
