Sergey, 2014 is history as of now. What stuck in your memory the most? What important events took place last year?
2014 was a starting point for me, a lot has changed in my vision of life. Some people showed their real faces, and some became closer and dearer to me. As for sports, there was Ukraine, and then double gold in European Championships and my start in A1. Great many thanks to the president of our federation, Vladimir Petrenko, who's done everything so that I could go to the Worlds, although in the end I couldn't.
Armwrestling is constantly growing and developing. What events would you consider as the most important in 2014?
The A1 tournament – definitely very important. Due to the fact that the Nemiroff was cancelled, A1 was the most important event this year – at least in Russia. The USA top team made this event even more spectacular. I've also heard of a new tournament in USA, a very promising event, due to it's high budget.
What are your sports plans for 2015?
The last year was a bit mixed for me. I had to fight with my head, more than with my arms – I was not in top form. It was a year of wondering where to go next. So the new year is the year of plans and hopes. But it's not all up to me, so I cannot tell for sure. I think my name will be on the news yet. But everything in the right time. I wish all the readers happiness abd good luck in the new year 2015.
