What’s your favorite technique?
I always liked hook, but recently I have been working on my top roll, I’ve won with it in Gdynia.
Do you use your whole power? Isn’t that exhausting?
In my head, I always fight to the end. No matter how long the fight, I always give my best.
What are your achievements?
I’ve been a Worlds and European champion a couple of times, now I’d like to win the OPEN category in the Nemiroff and in A1.
What are your strengths?
I thinks my strongest point is side pressure. I suppose I’ve won most my fights this way. Now I’m also working on developing my bicep.
What do you focus on, just before “ready – go!” ?
I usually know my opponent’s style beforehand, and I try to visualize where to focus my strength. I just imagine where to pull or push. Every opponent is different. I try to be as fast as possible and go all out.
You often smile before a fight.
I think every person who has ever been really successful is a positive person. Positive thinking is the way to progress. You can’t do much being negative, that’s why I smile.
You follow two paths, you take part in amateur Worlds, but also in professional Nemiroffs. Isn’t that a bit difficult?
At this point, armwrestling is all I do. I was a fitness instructor for a couple of years, but now I armwrestle full time. It’s no problem for me to fight in the Nemiroffs a month after the Worlds. I think fighting in tournaments is a good way to develop oneself.
What’s more important for you – the Worlds or professional armwrestling?
It doesn’t make a difference to me. I want to win them all.
Which system do you prefer? Tournament or armfight?
Again, I see no difference. I feel good in both. I just need more stamina for Vendettas.
What is armwrestling in your life?
I love it. It’s my dream come true. I have no other reasons to fight. I just love it. I think that to succeed in anything, you just have to love it.
