After the A1 i have talked with Ferit Osmanli a few times, he sounded confident for the future and is ready for the future challenges. He said his right arm is stronger but waiting it to be totaly injury free before he starts pulling against the best ones in the world. In his opinion he could have taken 2. place to Pushkar if he would have competed the open class at A1 and he judged this by his fightes against Dmitry Sılaev who troubled Dave Chaffee. He says his power with right arm is there but he just did not want to risque it against Pushkar, Chaffee and Brzenk.
He told me that his first target will be Zloty Tur in November and he is also looking forward for the Superfightes with PAL. He told me that he wishes to pull Devon Larratt with left arm. I told him that Devon's endurance is very good but he said once the fight is stopped in a neutral position then he can also pull forever. In my opinion their fight would be a breath cutting event, it would be similar to Brzenk-Osmanli fight from 2006 Vegas.
Devon with a great defense and Ferit an aggressive offense and a great joint based defense would end up in long hook fightes. I do not think that Devon would be able to take Ferit's wrist esspecially in early rounds because Ferit has a powerful wrist which is supported with a solid elbow and shoulder behind it. They would end up in a hook with Ferit having better position, Ferit even may win one or two rounds without wars but then it would probably go to an endurance game.
Ferit's wrist solidness and hooking ability can be judged by his performance against 80kg Oleg Zhokh who at 75kg ,caused Devon to experience nightmares in a Vegas event. I am pretty sure that Zhokh would say the same thing as a puller who pulled both pullers. Other than Pushkar, Denis and Larratt i do not think that there is anyone can touch Ferit's left hand at the moment.
Travis beat Devon but as i mentioned before that Ferit's hooking ability is better than Devon's and in my opinion Ferit would beat Travis at the moment. But since many of these athletes are contracted pullers i believe that Bortalato, Mike Gould and Michael Todd would be good choices to pull Ferit lefty. For the right arm I also believe that Ferit will reach to the top to be one of the absolute best pullers once again but he needs to be totaly healthy. In my honest opinion he would beat Brzenk at A1 even with the hurt elbow judging John by his fightes Zoloev got flashed by younger Sılaev last year at A1 twice.
Ferit would beat Chaffee as well because Chaffee's wrist did not seem to be healthy. Chaffee's biggest weapon is his incredibly strong wrist ,in fact wrist is the most important part in our sport as we generate all the forearm movements with our wrist joint. But a healhty Dave vs Ferit in the shape that he was in A1 would end up with Dave's win. I would like to see both athletes against eachother with totaly healthy shapes.
I bet it would be a great one. When i talked with Ferit he also mentioned Michael Todd and i told him that it requires more than strength alone to beat him and he said he realises this and he knows how to deal against his move. He said he is strong and capable enough to do what is necessary to defeat him. Ferit is a knowledgable puller but of course that if he pulls Michael i would be at his side as being his older brother to share my thoughts with him. Not sure how the score would be but one thing is for sure that if Ferit is ready to pull then no matter if he wins or loses there will be a big excitement in such event.
I just wait Ferit's legendary hook move to come back then esspecially the toprollers will be in trouble while the hook pullers will need to have better hook than Ferit has because not many will be able to toproll Ferit if any will be. We are witnessing another superheavyweight Legend's return to the professional armwrestling world and his presence will add nothing but a great colour and excitement to the current competetions.
