„I couldn't hear the referee, I felt no speed at all” - what happened during Soghoyan vs Miller?

()

Only recently we had the chance to see this fighter, when he faced Chris Gobby from Canada at Armfight # 43. Vazgen Soghoyan warned back then that he was not going to be an easy opponent – and he wasn't. They fought in welterweight, 70 kg, and Vazghen won 5:1. This time the tables have turned. At the Armfight #44 Vazgen Soghoyan lost to Corey Miller, 1:5.

The fight went wrong for me, I could't do my usual thing – says Vazghen. The opponent was great, but for some reason I waasn't in my usual shape.

Vazghen isn't happy with his score at all.

It's not aboute the mistakes, but the condition - says Vazghen. - for the whole day I've been feeling tired, slow and numb. I couldn't hear the ref, I felt no speed at all. I couldn't engage my pull. My opponent did his job perfectly, we all saw the outcome.

Vazgen Soghoyan and Corey Miller fought in welterweight, 70 kg. Vazghen is three-times world champion, and two-times European champion. Ever year he wins the tittle of the best Armenian sportsman in the USA. This time he failed.

I must find out where did this condition come from – says he.

Soghoyan stil thinks highly of the event itself.

Great show, venue and arrangement, great fighters, city and promotion. Highest level – says Vazghen.
