Vazgen Soghoyan vs Corey Miller is an interesting match up. Vazgen was the best 132s and one of the best 143s but he did not do so great at 154s in WAF level. Corey Miller has been pulling mostly in North America and is one of the best light weights. Lately Corey has been heavier than Vazgen. It would be interesting to see them pulling in same weight. Corey is known with his incredible speed as his nick name is FLASH. Vazgen is not as fast as Corey but has tons of horse power. Corey is not only fast but he is powerful as well. Corey can pull effectivelly in and outside styles while Vazgen pulls better in hook and his only chance seems to be hook against Corey. If Corey can keep the game outside then his chance of winning is very high but id the game goes into hook then Vazgen may have a little bit more chance than Corey But Corey would still have some chance to win even in hook.
The round one is about to start. It goes to the ref's grip, To me it seemed like an early start but Corey won the first round quickly the round with a side move. I am expecting Vazgen to slip and go to strap for the second round. Second round goes to the ref's grip as well..The second round Vazgen caught Corey very near to the pin pad but it was too late to bring the match back from that position. Corey held him there for a few seconds and won the round to bring the score to 2-0. Third round they go to the ref's grip again and Vazgen tries to slip to go to the strap but he can slip only in losing position and with an intentional slipping, which means another loss for him. It kind of goes without a tough competetion till round 4 and i expect some better matches that can excite the crowd. On round 4 Corey receives a warning for starting early. Vazgen looks like can not match Corey's explosiveness as he can stop him only when the match comes very near to the pin pad. There the match stops for a few seconds but Vazgen can not recover from that position and Corey wins the match. It is 4-0 now.
Round 5 is about to start and we saw a Vendetta where explosiveness dominated the horse power for the first four rounds.Round 5 just showed that Corey was not only faster but also stronger than Vazgen as the match started as Vazgen wanted and Corey did not use his speed, he gave chance to Vazgen to give all he has and pinned him after a few hits in hook. Corey is stronger, faster and more technical puller today.
The last round Corey intentionally hooked Vazgen, controlled him and hit but not to finish the match, then came back and tried to go for toproll but was not succesful, then Vazgen attacked with a drag hook and openned Corey's bicep to win his only round in this supermatch.
The final round of the Vendetta is Corey Miller 5 Vazgen Soghoyan 1.
