An injury eliminated one of the top Polish fighters from the Professionals' World Cup – Janek Żółciński will be missing from this year's Zloty Tur in Rumia, who was just diagnose with ventral hernia.
I don;t think I have to tell you about the internal struggle of a man who is in top shape, flying on the wings of his victory in Vegas and .... disabled by an ailment – says Janek. - for me this is a great loss, not only as a fighter, but as a human.
Janek Żółciński is a winner of two recent armfights – in #43 he beat Harold Owens, in armfight #44 – Mikel Gould.
We are very sorry for the fact that Janek will not fight in this year's Zloty Tur – says Igor Mazurenko, organizer. - The injury is grave enough for Janek to be eliminated from fighting for half a year. His career is now in doctors' hands.
I was informed of possible consequences of leaving the injury untreated and fighting on – said Janek. - This ailment can be treated only surgically. The waiting period for the procedure is 2 – 8 months. I am waiting for now. I must start in the January Polish Championships, to be able to start in the Europeans and Worlds. It will be hard, but I see no other options.
The Sloty Tur is also an elimination for the next armfights. In 2016, PAL/WAC plans to organize two Professionals' World Cups.
We are counting on Janek being in the American installment of the tournament, in April next year – says Mazurenko.
