This year’s Zloty Tur was a great show, esspecially in 78kg class and the final match of the Open category.

In 78kg class there were many top pullers from all around the world such  as Eduarto Tiete of Brazil, Mantas Asmonas from Lithuania, Mazghan Shamiev of Kazakhstan Zaur Saitov of Russia, Dawid Bartosewicz of Poland, Shynbolat Raikhanov of Kazakhstan, Andrey Malakhov of Russia, Sarunas Manarka of Lithuania, Bogdan Ivanenhko of Ukraine Oleg Zhokh of Ukraine And many others.

With left arm it was interesting to see Mazhgan Shamiev to flash pin Oleg Zhokh with a quick shoulder roll type of technique. Many thought it happenned because Oleg was not ready. But IMO that was not the case. Mazghan’s start is very explosive and his first move is very Powerful against his opponent’s pronator. In show his hooking ability is great. At the other side Oleg’s armwrestling angle is very solid at the beginning position of the start. So Mazghan’s starting hit was strong and explosive enough to unlock Oleg’s starting position Lock that allows him to armwrestle effectively. Once Oleg was caught on his bicep then he did not have much to resist as he is not trained to pull in defensive bicep position.

After that Mazghan faced Asmonas from Latvia and Asmonas was able to stop Mazghan at the position that Zhokh was not able to. It was because Mantas’ bicep is stronger than Zhokh’s and Mantas is used to pull in such losing positions. It took more than 1 minute and finally Mazghan defeated Mantas but both were exhausted. In the final match Mazghan stil was able to stop Zhokh in their second match near 15 seconds But was not able to win the match as Zhokh did not lose his pronator control at the start. With right hand Mantas Asmonas performed great as he beat even the current WAF champion Raikhanov of Kazakhstan. There were so many great matches in this class but Tiete’s performance was disappointing.

In 86kg we all expected Ongarbayev of Kazakhstan to surprise Zoloev but Zoloev was clearly better than Ongarbayev. In left arm competetion Ongarbayev just dominated the class.

Krasimir surprised everyone by dropping down to 95kg class and he won with both hands with minor problems on left arm.

Superheavyweight class was dominated by Pushkar because no one really wanted to try against him, including the Kazakh puller Dmitry Trubin who saved his power for the overall

Class final. It was a regular Zloty event until the last moment. Trubin laid to Pushkar even at the qualification round of the overalls and people did not really expect a surprise by him. We thought that the fun was over and after the ref says go the whole Zloty Event of 2015 was going to be over but the things suddenly changed once Pushkar’s deadly hit was hunged on Trubin’s brachiradialis.

Everyone was so shocked , Pushkar was hitting and hitting but Trubin’s hammer was not unlocked by these hits. It did not seem like Trubin could pin Pushkar either but he had Pushkar’s wrist and did not look in danger at all. Pushkar won the match by fouls but after a protest a re-match was decided. Trubin again had the control and this time he seemed even more confident and instead of just waiting he started to climb over Pushkar’s hand by using his forearm height. But his confidence went from good to “too much” and he kind of hurried to finish Pushkar and elbow fouled. IMO he would have won the match if he did not hurry up. Pushkar won the title officially but Trubin won the hearts of the spectators by showing how good he is. It was a great event and took its part in one of the unforgetable events in the history of the armwrestling.
