Question; “When I have the table time training ,I should start pulling with someone who is stronger than me and pull as hard as I can to try to beat him, or start with someone equal to me and have a good fight with him, or start with someone weaker than me and train my hits as a dynamic training?”
Answer; “There is no for sure right answer for this question. It can depend on each person’s own condition. When i was young and healthy i always started with serious matches with someone who is at my level. That is how we were doing. If there were 10-12 guys then everyone was matching up with someone whose level close to himself. So the first matches were to determine who is beter, then it continued that way till all the questions are cleared. And then it was becoming more like training pulls.
Today when i am injured all over i would like to start slow and mostly for training purpose. Last year when i won the worlds i had only 2 table times in last for months before the WAF. So in my opinion people should make their own ways according to their conditions.
Question; “I should start table time with straps first when I'm fresh or start training in strap when I'm not fresh? Which way is better?”
Answer; “I believe there is no difference about being fresh or not fresh about pulling in strap. We mush keep in mind that an armwrestler should be able to ready for a strap match esspecially if he is a toproller. I personally prefer to pull in strap at the trainings esspecially if i am pulling against the toprollers. But of course we should be able to pull without strap as well. So in short i would pull both in strap and without strap and i would not care if fresh or not.”
Question; “How much is the optimal time for table time that I should spend until I have nothing left in my 2 arms, 2 or 3 or 4 hours?”
Answer; “Again wrong mind set up. It is up to the person’s endurance and also the stress level of the pulling. For the beginners i would suggest to pull as much and often as possible while to someone whose body is full with armwrestling memory record i would suggest rested table times with good quality of pulling. In fact your body will tell you when it is enough and again it is up to the training matches that you had. You may pull short matches and you then may have power to pull many matches. Or you may have minute long pulls and you may pull 10 matches and you are done. But if you are asking the ideal training understanding of mine then i would prefer to pull to serve my endurance at maximum power. 10 matches each arm with 20-40 seconds long with high pulling quality would be very good to train my arms.
