Andrey Pushkar vs Dmitry Trubin will be the match to determine the Number 1 Puller in the WAC Organisation. We all were surprised when Trubin almost beat Pushkar but lost on fouls at 2015 Zloty Tur. Dmitry Trubin took everyone’s attention when he won the Worlds in 2010 WAF by beating Krasimir Kostadinov. He is very tall and with dropping his front wrist he unabled Krasimir to hook him in that event. Everyone that looked at him realised that he was tall enough to become a heavy weight puller. Later years we saw him pulling up to 110kg class. And finally last year he was a big and powerful superheavyweight.
After Pushkar quited to pull WAF and EAC events he became even stronger. In 2014 he won A1 over Brzenk and Cyplenkov without any problems. Personally i was not sure if he was better than Cyplenkov or not because Cyplenkov and Chaffee have killed eachother after tough battles. And Cyplenkov has beaten Pushkar in majority of their matches during their careers. So i was not sure if Pushkar could have beaten Cyplenkov in a fresh match. But his win against John Brzenk was very easy and John looked in a great shape at 2014 A1.
Following year Pushkar again won A1 easily and this time he met Chaffee and beat him without any problems. At that time Cyplenkov seemed to be retired from armwrestling and Pushkar seemed invincible during the absence of Cyplenkov. The only possible guy to beat Pushkar was Michael Todd as Michael has beaten him 6-0 some years ago but lately Pushkar’s wrist looked so solid to handle Michael’s pressure. Michael and Pushkar were set for a World Title Armfight. But 2015 Zloty Tur just changed everything in the World of Armwrestling. 2015 Zloty Tur was excited but mostly because of the 78kg class. In the Super Heavyweight class no one challenged Pushkar, including Trubin. In fact Trubin looked far better than the pullers that he met but he did not try to beat Pushkar until the Overalls!
I would consider it a normal Zloty Tur event for everything that happenned before the final match. In the final of the Overalls Trubin decided to pull Pushkar and with the GO everything became like a nightmare for Pushkar. Pushkar was hitting and hitting but Trubin’s arm was not moving after a point and Pushkar’s wrist was bent back by the Iron Brachiradialis of Trubin. Trubin fouled and the restart was the same. They call another foul on Trubin but a rematch happenned after the protest by Kazakh team. Trubin was not patient enough and lost the match by fouls but everyone thought that he was as good as Pushkar if not better.
After that event Michael’s confidence was boosted because he saw that Pushkar’s wrist still was toprollable. But Michael’s happiness did not take long enough as Pushkar was injured and the match was cancelled. Michael was prepared fort he World Title match and now he did not have an opponent. Igor offered him to pull Trubin but it was not gonna be fort he World Title. So Michael did not like the idea but at the end he accepted to pull Dmitry. Michael knew that Dmitry was going to be far more dangerous puller for him than Pushkar.
Finally Trubin and Michael pulled and what Michael was afraid of happenned as Trubin came with the correct technical plan and enough of power to beat Michael.
Honestly Trubin seemed to me as the best puller in the world. Maybe a powerful shape of Cyplenkov would be a serious threat for him. Of course these are only my opinions. Soon Pushkar and Trubin once again will meet and Trubin is my favorite. Of course anything can happen but I believe that Trubin will toproll Pushkar and beat him at least 4 rounds out of 6. Pushkar is known with his power & explosiveness but not with his great endurance. So once and if Pushkar’s wrist will be hanged by Trubin’s toproll then i have no doubt that Trubin will be better in later rounds. Who knows maybe Pushkar will come with a great wrist strength and flash Trubin. Pushkar’s side pressure is strong enough to bring anyone’s hand on the pad as long as his own wrist and pronator handles. Both guys know what to expect and they will come there with specialised game plan. One thing is for sure that if Trubin toprolls Pushkar’s wrist in round 1 then no way Pushkar can survive even if he wins that round. If Michael Todd was not able to handle Dmitry’s endurance then Pushkar has no chance in an endurance game. Pushkar’s only chance is pure domination.
My prediction is 5-1 for Trubin.
