Some weeks ago, I saw a movie with a “ladder” made by Jonna (watch here). I was so amazed that it became my dream – to learn how to make it. And also I decided to speak with Jonna – how does she make herself to do such a great things with her body. If you feel a lack of motivation – welcome.
Jonna, you are definitely getting stronger and stronger. Are you going to take part at worlds?
– I'll definitely come and compete at the Worlds! This will be my fourth time and I'm really looking forward to it.
Are you getting ready for somebody definite at this Worlds? Who do you think would be your three toughest rivals?
– I am getting ready for everybody, at this level there is nothing left for making mistakes. But if I have to choose I would say Esra Kiraz (Turkey), Maryna Levchenko (Ukraine) and Tatyana Verina (Kazakhstan).
Can you name one exercise, which is making you stronger?
– The best training is at the table but I like to climb when I'm at the gym.
What do you think could be not enough for you to take a golden medal?
– I have been sick and a lot has happened so I have not been able to train properly and I have my head filled with thoughts. But I'm doing my best to overcome those thoughts and focusing on the upcoming championship.
How do you motivate yourself, especially on doing such amazing things, that you show in your videos?
– I know what I want and what it takes to get there. So even if I have 30 km to the closest gym and 200 km to armwrestling practice – I go. I'm thinking about my goals and listen to good music and I'm doing it because I love it!
What do you think about professional armwrestling? Are you going to take part at Zloty Tur this year?
– I think that it's good that the sport grows and develop. But I want that women should get more space. I have not decided about Zloty Tur yet, I will see how I feel after worlds.
I think the best assessment for Jonna’s aims would be a golden medal. So I wish her to keep strong spirit and body and reach her goals!
