At the last Zloty Tur Armen was second in open class. In an exciting fight, he won the Vendetta with Christian Binnie. Naturally, it shows a certain level of athlete, and we can only hope that in a regular tournament, Armen cope with the large number of participants.

On the right hand of the same category things are going a little bit different. Vitaly Laletin, who already several years in a row wins the right hand of world and European championships, this year lost Russian natonals to Alan Tsarikaev. Alan is also listed in this category. Will it be a rematch? We’ll know soon.

Who can surprise us in the category of 110 kg?

In recent years, the undisputed leader of the category on the left hand was Ivan Matiushenko until the last European Championship in Romania. There Ivan lost the gold medal to Krasimir Kostadinov. Most likely, the World Championship will put everything in place in this pair and find out - whether Ivan Matiushenko not too seriously approached the preparation of the previous tournament, or Krasimir really became stronger.

We should not forget that among the athletes in start list there are no representatives of Georgia and Kazakhstan, which can affect the outcome of fights.

In the category of 110 kg there are certain favorites: Levan Saginashvili, Arif Ertem and Gennady Kvikvinia and Krasimir Kostadinov on the right hand.

Gennady Kvikviniya is the current world champion. Krasimir Kostadinov at the last European Championship decided to try his hand in this category, so radically changed the prize three and spoiled plans to win for the rest of the tournament favorites. Wit fouls he won two leaders of the Georgian team - Gennady and Levan. And of course, Arif Ertem – the winner of the last European Championship in which he coolly crushed his rivals.
