The Finnish Armsport Association, the Board of the Finnish Armsport Association, has unanimously decided to terminate its membership of the European Armwrestling (EAF) and the World Federation (WAF) and to become a founding member of the new International Federation of Armwrestling (IFA).

The reason for this is the numerous problems that exist in the current European (EAF) and World Federation (WAF) operations. The Finnish Armsport Association, the board of the Finnish Armsport Association, wants to guarantee its members the right to compete and practice, without fear of unjust exclusions, and to keep their activities honest and equal.

The Finnish Armwrestling Federation will be working as a co-operation to the Olympic Committee and WADA and will inform its members as soon as possible.
