Anders Axklo:
We will get back to armwrestling!
I have been asked a lot about the plans for armwrestling on both a national and global perspective. The truth is that we are living in turbulent times of a truly global magnitude, and there are many things that are more important than armwrestling right now.
Armwrestling promotors around the world have cancelled events, as has every other sport. On what time schedule an event should be cancelled is something only the promotor of an event can know. Some might have the option to wait until last days before an event to see if the situation has improved, and if it will be possible and without risk to gather to armwrestle, some cannot risk the uncertainty and must cancel well in advance. We have great respect for both.
IFA has no expertise on what is happening in the world now. We are very good at armwrestling and how to manage, develop and promote armwrestling worldwide, but that’s it. We are all listening to our local and national authorities for guidance and risk management and will continue to do so. Please do the same, in whatever country you are in. When it is safe to travel, to meet, and to armwrestle with people from around the globe again, we will. Let us hope it is sooner rather than later. We know that we are working with the best promoters and armwrestlers in the world, and that the are preparing for the world after this crisis has passed.
And how are you?
Thank you. I am working from home, and I think our authorities are managing it as well as possible, we have 100 dead in Swwden now.
PeSzy: Thank you.
